Central and Eastern Europe in the Changing Business Environment 2026

21. – 22. Mai 2026, Bratislava

26th international joint conference is jointly organized by the Faculty of Commerce, Bratislava University of Economics and Business, the Faculty of International Relations & the Faculty of Business Administration, Prague University of Economics and Business. The main focus of the conference is the region of Central and Eastern Europe and its position in the global economy, since this region is playing an increasingly important role within the economic development of the whole European continent.

Five sessions will be held within the conference: International Trade, International Business & Management, International Finance, International Marketing & Consumer Behavior, and International Tourism.

Abstracts in English are to be submitted electronically through the online registration form by 15 January 2026 and their length is limited to 1000 symbols.

Full papers in English (after the approval of submitted abstract) are to be submitted following the paper template through the online paper submission by 15 February 2026 at the latest. The length of each paper must not exceed 15 pages (including references). Each paper has to involve a chapter constituting an original empirical or analytical development that contributes to the current theoretical state of the art. Case studies are acceptable as well. Each participant can be the first author of only one paper.

The review process of each paper is double-blind, based on two reviews. Results of reviews will be sent to authors after 22 March 2026.

The conference will be hosted by the Faculty of Commerce, Bratislava University of Economics and Business. The entire program of the conference will be transmitted online to enable active participation to all participants, even to those who might be, for some reason, not able to travel.
